Talk...people...talk...it is good to talk

Time and time again I have seen and experienced how our fear and unwillingness to 'confront' an issue cripple relationships, hinder growth and distrort truth.
and when I finally decide to talk to the people concerned to clear things up, suddenly, the truth will just emerge and we realise how silly we have been. As a result, working relations restored, friendships strengthened, trust built and the schemes of the devil exposed! Those were the times, when the issues we felt were real, weren't even real.
There are, of course, those times when the issues are real. it is in those times, that the parties come to God for cleansing and restoration. Forgiveness is extended and again.... working relations restored, friendships strengthened, trust built and again the schemes of the devil exposed!
How I wish we could just talk whenever we face issues with others. but how the devil hates us for doing so. He would in all his ability stop us by crippling us with fear, whispering all kinds of lies in our ears about how the 'confrontation' can cause dire outcomes. and when we decide to talk, the devil would try to make us talk in hatred, anger and bitterness.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
11It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So let's talk people, talk...in love
but beware....Truth spoken in love is liberating but Truth spoken without love is brutal.

Church situation

Tim and are getting ourselves plugged in to a church called Eagle

point Covenant Fellowship (ECF) in Puchong.. We love it!

I am under the discipleship of one of pastors there. She's really cool. She is bubbly and talkative...like me lah...yet very Godly. I feel very comforted to know I have hope! When I'm her age, I shall be as Godly too yet still being me.

and our church is releasing their second album; 'Sold OUT'

Tickets for the concert are RM30 each for students and RM35 each for adults. The best part is with each ticket, you can redeem a CD and the music video! Cool eh?

Dates: 28 April at ECF or 29 April at KDU

Something you won't regret going to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What we do....

We work for Alpha Malaysia. We promote and train anyone interested running Youth Alpha which is a very cool evangelistic ten week course. The picture on your left is Tim training in Penang. Isn't he handsome??? Awww..

So far, God has shown Himself so faithful. I have personally grown so much spiritually after joining Alpha Malaysia. We have seen His faithfulness in every aspect of our lives, including getting lost (still new in this part of the world). Even our getting lost is included in His divine appointments for us. It's really COOL.

Everywhere we go, we come across divine appointments. Lately, God has opened so many doors, I don't know what to do...hahaha. Youth Alpha is run in Taylor's, Monash and many more to come. It's exciting. We are now going into a National Service camp too (The picture below is of us discussing Youth Alpha @National Service. God has also brought people to us who are obviously going to be working closely with us, people who will help the ministry grow.

OK, so that's what we do :) It's truly fun and fulfilling.

Last year in February, we were offered this job, we said 'no' right away. In August, God changed our minds. We found out a few weeks ago, that people had been praying 3 times a week here in this office for the right people to take these positions. So here we are.....

Change lives, by changed lives :)

Popular Jesus

While looking for pictures online to do some work, I came across this drawing of Jesus. Fell in love with it right away. Then, I saw this verse in the Bible. The context is Jesus had sent 72 followers ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. When they came back, they were so excited and said even the demons submitted to them in Jesus' name. Jesus then went to say that He had given them authority toovercome the power of the enemy. However, they shouldn't rejoice because the spirits subject to them but they should rejoice because their names were written in heaven.

Everytime, I read this, I always thought that Jesus was correcting them and was somehow cross at them for getting their focus wrong. BUT!!! The next verse goes like this , 'At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit said.......'

Jesus was full of joy because his followers obeyed him and went to do great things for him (even though they got their focus wrong). and He was proud of them. Just think, every time we do something for Him, even though we don't get everything right, He is full of joy just being proud of us.

I wonder how many people think that Jesus was a stern or sad man going around correcting everyone. If he really was like that he wouldn't get children running after Him. Children would only run after fun and nice adults. Jesus was so popular. Men (rich, poor, unschooled, educated) and women (decent women and prostitutes alike) and children loved Him. I am thinking that this really popular guy (who had thousands of people running after Him all the time) was acually quite a cheerful chap.

Take heart, Jesus rejoices over you :)

A Recovering Pet-aholic

It's harder than I thought. Having six dogs back in KK and none here is cold-turkey withdrawal. Hence, the substitutes (my stuffed-animals). Just a few weeks ago, we considered moving to a house so that we can have doggies...was our will but not His.

I will be ok. By His grace, I will be....

New at this

Was reading some of my best friends' blogs and thought to myself, 'Hmm...I should have one as well.' So there you go...I'm Malaysian, so I Kiasu :)
